THE ARTIST

ELLIOT HAZEL-  a nineteen year old photographer, artist, musician, and creative. Originally from Ashtabula, Ohio, I am currently working back and forth between Conneaut, Ohio, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Dallas, Texas. While currently on a gap year to travel and build my portfolio, I hope to study for my Bachelors in Film & Media Production as well as a minor in journalism, using my education and work experience as a photographer, designer, and artist as a backbone for my professional path. Having big aspirations and a variety of preferred mediums, working under the umbrella of Toad Productions gives me the pleasure of exploring a versatile range of projects.

PHOTOGRAPHY- My photography journey started in 2020 as a way to find beauty in everyday life during lockdown. Since then, the hobby turned to a passion, and the passion to a career. I have developed a client base and studied media arts as a trade throughout high school. My portfolio reflects and emphasizes my work with creative portraiture, traditional portraiture, food photography, and event photography.

As a photographer, my main goal is to capture each clients individuality. Whether it's capturing artists during live performances, creative photography, or traditional portraits, I bring fiery stylization to my projects and I work to make each clients vision come to fruition.

My current goal as an independent photographer is to work and connect with more clients from across the U.S.  My next projects will combine my photography and design skills to take on projects creating promotional materials.

​ART & DESIGN- I am open to commissions for art and digital design. I have experience designing promotional materials in the form of social media posts for several platforms as well as printed materials like posters and flyers. I have been able to use my artistic skills to complete painting and character commissions. Aside from commercial designs and commission work, I use art and design as a form of expression. My next artistic endeavor will be in the form of zinemaking. ToadZine is an expressive objection that will act as a physical documentation of my travels and creative processes. ToadZine exists to take attention away from the digital landscape and put art in the hands of the people. I create art as a means of sharing my own personal messages, grievances, and experiences with the world. I believe in artmaking as an alternative to death.

VIDEOGRAPHY & MUSIC- As a videographer, I hope to take on new projects through the upcoming years studying film. Thus far, I have worked with other creators to make short films, music videos, and documented events via livestream. I have experience shooting, editing, and directing news segments, skits, and interviews for Edgewood High Schools 2022-2023 media program. My youtube channel highlights my musical endeavors alongside the documentation of my personal life. I hope to focus this channel more on songwriting and music as time goes on, but traveling without instruments has proven this difficult for the time being.
